AfterTap Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 November 2026
- AfterTap is for adults aged 18 and over.
- It has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name, email or other personal details.
- Your progress, coins and settings are stored on your phone only.
- It shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device information to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, you're asked for consent first.
Who we are
AfterTap is an arcade game for Android made by PJB Devlab, an independent developer in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). PJB Devlab is the trading name of Paul Berry, a sole trader, who is responsible for your data under UK data protection law. PJB Devlab is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC291906. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email support@pjbdevlab.co.uk.
Who AfterTap is for
AfterTap is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not designed for or directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, email us and we'll help remove it.
Information stored on your device
To save your game, AfterTap keeps the following on your phone: game progress and high scores, coins and shop items, achievements and XP, daily challenges, your settings, and how many reward videos you've watched (so daily limits work).
You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, address or phone number. There's no cloud save or online player database: this information stays on your phone and is not sent to us.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
AfterTap shows banner ads and occasional full-screen ads, and offers optional reward videos. These come from Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google and its partners may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- your IP address and the approximate location worked out from it;
- device and app information, such as phone model, operating system and language;
- how you interact with ads, and performance and diagnostic data about ads.
Reward videos are always optional. Watching one gives you extra coins or a chance to carry on (revive).
Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We don't sell your information.
Your ad choices
Where the law requires it (for example in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland), the game shows Google's consent form before ads are personalised, and the choices available may depend on where you are. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads on some phones).
Third-party services
AfterTap uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform (for the consent form). These are run by Google under their own privacy policies. AfterTap doesn't use any analytics or tracking tools of its own.
How information is used
Information on your phone is used to run the game, save your progress, manage coins and rewards and remember your settings. Information processed by Google is used to deliver and measure ads and to detect invalid ad activity. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply.
Storage, keeping and deleting
Game data is kept in the app's private storage on your phone until you delete it. To delete it, go to your phone's Settings > Apps > AfterTap > Storage > Clear storage, or uninstall the game. Information collected by Google is kept under Google's own policies. Emails to us are kept only as long as reasonably needed to help you.
We take reasonable care to protect your information, but no method of storage is completely secure.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (and the GDPR, if you're in the EEA) you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold personal data about you ourselves, most requests are handled directly by Google; you can manage your ad choices as described above. For anything we hold (such as an email you sent us), email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
